At Women Leaders of Tomorrow (WLOT), we believe in the power of education and sport to transform lives. Based in Vancouver, Canada, our non-profit organization is dedicated to empowering Afghan women and girls by creating life-changing opportunities in higher education and leadership through sport — especially Judo.
WLOT supports young Afghan women by connecting them with scholarships and mentorships to pursue secondary, post-secondary, and Master’s degrees in North America. Our programs aim to develop future leaders who will return home and help close the gender gap in Afghanistan’s workforce, government, and civil society.
Through our GOAL (Girls of Afghanistan Lead) program, we also promote confidence and empowerment through martial arts. Training in Judo gives young women a chance to grow as athletes, as professionals, and as changemakers in their communities.
We envision an Afghanistan where every woman and girl can access quality education, feel safe pursuing her ambitions, and lead with purpose and dignity.

Project Resilience: Keep Education Alive for Afghan Women
When the Taliban banned women from universities in Afghanistan, countless dreams were put on hold. Project Resilience is our answer—a partnership with the University of Regina that gives Afghan women a chance to continue their studies safely in Canada.
Through this initiative, students receive scholarships, housing, meals, wellness support, and mentorship—everything they need to rebuild their lives and pursue higher education with dignity. But sustaining this lifeline takes resources: it costs nearly $40,000 to support one student for a year.
This is where you can make a difference. By supporting Project Resilience, you help cover tuition, housing, and essential care for young Afghan women determined to finish their education and lead change in the world.
