A big thanks to those who participated in our online fundraiser, presentation, talks and Q&A yesterday. The purpose of this event was to raise awareness about the gender inequality, Afghan women’s struggles and triumph in Judo/sports. Also, that how Judo is empowering women and planting the seeds of peace and progress in Afghanistan.
There are power and result in advocacy. Greta Thunberg also agrees with it. She says “advocacy works”, and it does. The Afghan local TV channel 1 invited the GOAL initiative program to tell about it’s activities and it’s goals today. It was a live interview. The GOAL program explained it’s vision, mission and advocated for the girls of Afghanistan to lead.
The peace talks are taking place between the Taliban and the Afghan government these days. All women want is peace and have natural rights to practice their Human Rights on daily basis from getting an education to practice Judo.
Thanks to those generous donors who have donated so far. But we are not quite there yet – need your support to reach our goal. I believe we can do it together ♥️
The Afghan Judo girls are excited and even more motivated to hear that their friends and allies are support ing them from Europe and North America.
The money raised by this fundraiser will go towards these girls’ transportation costs. Each will be given stipend to pay the local community shuttles to come to the training regularly. If most of the families can afford to send their kids to the Judo training, they prioritize the funding to the boys only. By donating today, you will give these girls an equal opportunity to train♥️???
Pix from yesterday’s training. The city municipality of Kabul had an interview with them – they are the pride of Afghanistan!

It is a critical moment to advocate for women’s rights and make sure our rights are protected. It is also crucial to know that non-political Afghan women are also actively engaged in important informal peacemaking efforts, such as sports and cultivating peaceful culture and attitude in the Afghan society. They organize for peace, provide critical information to negotiators, and legitimate the formal negotiations by taking space in public spaces to demonstrate a peaceful protest for peace. This was also a case study which was conducted by the George Town university. A perfect example is the Afghan Judo athletes. They significantly contribute towards peace process by showing up at the Judo mats every day and they are determined to continue the peaceful fight for a peaceful country.
GOAL is also having an online fundraiser now. All the funds will go towards the girls’ transportation cost and sport’s equipment. You can donate at http://www.facebook.com/Judoforfred

Watch Friba Rezayee’s interview who is one of the first female athlete to compete at the Olympic Games in the history preparing for 2004 Athens Olympic Games! 平等と人権のための戦いは最初から私たちの内にあります。そして、それは私たちすべての女の子がアフガニスタンの男の子と同等になるまで続きます。
