The GOAL initiative collaborates with refugee athletes to join the International Olympic Committee’s Refugee with a Judo Mission project. The purpose of this project is to give a chance to the refugee athletes to compete at international tournaments and to be able to practice their human rights regardless of their status.
GOAL helped Nigara Shaheen, an IJF Judo athlete from Afghanistan who is currently residing and studying in Russia to gain recognition as an international athlete and to compete at the Grant Slam Dusseldorf on February 2020.
We provide Farsi / English translation services and administrative, travel arrangement and communications assistance to Afghan refugee Judo athletes located throughout the world.
